Don’t Skip This Chapter…

You know when you're reading a book and hit one of those chapters that feels boring, uncomfortable, or just plain hard to get through?

You get the urge to skim it — or skip it altogether — because you just want to get to the good part.

Something like that came up for me recently.

In this current chapter of my life, there’s been some real discomfort. And if I’m being totally honest — a lot of it.

In the past, I would’ve done what I knew best: skipped right over it. Distracted myself with food, shopping, busyness… anything to avoid feeling it.

But this time?

I didn’t skip.
I stayed.
I felt it.

And here’s what I learned…

When we don’t skip over the discomfort, when we lean in to the chapters of growth and change…

The chapter that comes next?
It’s brilliant.

Like that part of a book you keep replaying in your head because it moved you.

Or a movie scene that sticks with you long after the credits roll.

We can’t fully accept the highs if we’re unwilling to be present with the lows.

They work together.

The beauty of life is that we get to practice shifting — again and again.

And the more present we are with those shifts, the more peace we’ll find… even in the messy middle.

I don’t know about you, but I’m all in on being here for it.

The highs, the lows, the plot twists, all of it.

Because we have this one precious life, and we do get to choose how we live it.
